The site for the final project will be located in or near Wicken fen. In the next semester you will be offered a choice of sites that will provide suitable locations for the design of a dwelling in the fens. All the sites are, or will be, owned by the National Trust as part of their Wicken Fen Vision. This 100 year project is a proposal by the National Trust to buy 53 square kilometres of Cambridgeshire, between Wicken fen and Cambridge, with the aim of returning it to fenland. It is absolutely essential that you have a thorough understanding of the National Trust's Wicken Fen vision and their environmental strategy in order to ensure a good start to the final project in the new year. Make sure you do as much research as possible now so that the majority of your time in the next semester can be dedicated to design work.
